AW-Trac
Drainage System
The most common water intrusion in
basements occurs where the wall meets the floor. Water pressure built up
along the wall and under the slab (hydrostatic pressure) finds it way in
through tiny spaces where the floor and wall meet.
The AW-Trac System relieves hydrostatic
pressure without jackhammers trenching through the basement floor or
hauling mud and gravel in and out of your home. Hollow baseboards adhered
to the floor along the wall act as a barrier collecting water from weep
holes tapped into the blocks where the floor and wall meet. Water travels
along the hollow baseboards to the drain or sump pump. The AW Trac system
is simple in design, but very effective. The system is composed of vinyl
channels which resemble oversized baseboards and is a fairly inexpensive
safeguard against basement flooding. The system can be used for poured
concrete or block foundations. |
